Your mission
As the Business Development Manager for the DACH region, you will be responsible for driving operational sales activities, building relationships with clients, and ensuring business growth. Your primary focus will be on finding new clients, establishing long-term partnerships, and selling Bisly’s building automation solutions. This role is ideal for a natural business entrepreneur with a strong technical affinity for building automation and knowledge of the local regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Client acquisition: Identify, reach out to, and build relationships with potential customers across the DACH region, with an emphasis on the German market.
- Sales execution: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets, focusing on direct engagement with customers and decision-makers.
- Market development: Work to expand Bisly’s presence in the DACH region by identifying new opportunities, untapped markets, and key stakeholders.
- Partnership building: Cultivate relationships with key players, including resellers, system integrators, and industry influencers, to enhance Bisly’s market positioning.
- Regulatory understanding: Leverage your knowledge of building automation regulations in Germany to navigate compliance and support customers in implementing regulatory-compliant solutions.
- Technical consultation: Utilize your technical understanding of building automation to consult with customers and propose tailored solutions that meet their needs.
- Sales reporting: Regularly report on sales activities, pipeline progress, and market feedback, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
To succeed in this role, you'll have
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the building automation or technology sectors.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully growing sales and building long-term client relationships in the DACH region.
- Technical affinity with building automation solutions, including energy management, smart building systems, or IoT technologies.
- Strong knowledge of German building automation regulations is a significant plus.
- A self-starter mindset, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a passion for growing businesses and taking ownership of new opportunities.
- Fluent in German and a good command of English (written and spoken).
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a customer-centric approach.
