The Senior Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company’s Oracle and SQL Server databases. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work well with a team.Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Ensure database performance, availability, and security.
- Develop and implement database standards and infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimize database performance and manage database capacity.
- Plan and execute database migration, upgradation, and patching.
- Conduct database troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Backup and restore databases.
- Interface with developers and provide SQL tuning advice.
- 6-8 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Proficient in Oracle and SQL Server database administration.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization (PTO).
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for Oracle and SQL Server.
- Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models.
- Knowledge of Windows server, including Active Directory and proper disk configurations.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, or Microsoft SQL Server certification.
- Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, etc.)
- Familiarity with server virtualization and SAN management.
