Job Summary
Junior iOS Engineer looking to work on a well-known news application. The role will focus on iOS app development using Swift, with opportunities to work on UI, networking, performance optimization, and feature enhancements. If you're familiar with Swift, APIs, and mobile UI principles, this could be an excellent fit.
Responsibilities
Developing and maintaining features for the AP iOS app.
Fixing bugs and improving app stability.
Collaborating with designers and backend engineers to improve the user experience.
Implementing UI/UX elements based on design specifications.
Optimizing app performance and ensuring smooth operation.
Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code using Swift.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
3 years of experience in iOS development
Strong knowledge of Swift and iOS frameworks such as UIKit, SwiftUI, CoreData, Combine, or AVFoundation.
Experience with Xcode and debugging tools.
Understanding of REST APIs and networking in iOS apps.
Knowledge of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines for creating user-friendly applications.
Nice to Have (Not listed, but typically beneficial):
Experience with unit testing (XCTest, Quick/Nimble).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions for iOS development.}
Experience working with push notifications (Firebase or APNs).
Knowledge of CoreGraphics, CoreAnimation, or ARKit (if the app includes interactive content).
Experience in App Store submission and release processes.
