Type: Permanent, Full - time (37.5 hrs per week)

Previously referred to as the London Market Joint Ventures, we have been operating for over 20 years in the London market (Lloyd's and Company), in both insurance and reinsurance business. Processing over £101 billion worth of premium and claims transactions today, we are building a new digital platform and services that will enable our customers to move transactions and money through the processing lifecycle with greater efficiency and speed, releasing time to drive innovation and focus on higher value activities. Our core business services involve performing checks on insurance documents, processing premium transactions and processing claims transactions.
Individual will reside in the UK and have Right to Work in the UK.

The Sanctions Technician works under the direction of the Sanctions Manager (part of the Control, Quality and Sanctions function) and the role is central to ensuring that the department is compliant with all US, EU, and UK Sanctions regulations.
What you will be doing
Carry out Sanctions screening work. Working closely with the team, the business and compliance. Representing Velonetic when working with various customers i.e., Brokers, underwriters, managing agents, legal representatives.
- Clearing potential sanctions concerns
- Support sanctions regulatory change
- Flag incidents
- Looking out for and helping to monitor trends
- Support quality improvement initiatives
- Support in identifying quality concerns, and escalate for investigation when needed
- Proactively support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure non-compliance and or persistent issues are escalated where appropriate to the Sanctions Manager
- Ensure high standards are met
