About You
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Coordinator, Research Proposals to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to supporting researchers in identifying funding opportunities, developing research grants, fellowships, and proposals, and ensuring that eligible and compliant applications are submitted to national and international funding bodies, foundations, and prize organisations.
As the Senior Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Research & Innovation portfolio, as well as with research leaders within Schools and Colleges, to implement targeted strategies and initiatives that enhance the quality and quantity of research grant applications. This role requires a deep understanding of national, international, and internal research funding schemes and a commitment to fostering a supportive and effective research environment.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
Proven experience in the development of research grant applications and proposals, including a thorough understanding of national and international research funding schemes.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex research ideas clearly and succinctly and influence stakeholders effectively.
Demonstrated ability to interpret funding scheme guidelines and rules, with a strong focus on attracting funding from diverse sources.
High-level organizational and administrative skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across various levels and functions within the organization.
Highly motivated and proactive, with excellent time management skills and a customer-focused approach.
Experience in evaluating practices and identifying opportunities for improvements and efficiencies in research funding processes.
