We are seeking a talented individual to join our Placement team at Marsh. This role will be based in Sandton, hybrid and has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

• Broking Services

• Attending strategy meetings and/or renewal meetings

• Preparation / Finalisation of Broking documentation

• Identification and selection of appropriate markets

• Distribution of Broking Notes to the market

• Negotiating with Markets and structuring deals

• Implementation of placement strategy on high complexity accounts

• Collation of market terms and quotes for submission to client services

• Preparation / Finalisation of Placing Slips

• Closings to markets / obtaining market confirmation of cover

• Confirm final placement / changes and Endorsements

• Preparation of other broking documentation as required

What you need to have:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in short term insurance

• FAIS and CPD compliant

• Knowledge of the principles of risk management

• Knowledge of the mechanics of reinsurance

• Diploma in Insurance or commenced studying towards AIISA an advantage

• Insurer relationships an advantage

• Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook

• Conversant with insurance legislation
