Responsibilities
We are seeking an innovative and results-oriented Senior Software Engineer (Engineer 2, Software) in the Automated Rental Management System (ARMS) area. This area is focused on bringing additional value to our Partners through technology and innovative solutions. These solutions are focused on enhancing the customer’s experience, creating efficiencies, improving claims outcomes, and reducing loss adjustment expense. Enterprise continuously strives to modernize our applications to keep pace with the competitive market, and the ARMS has team many upcoming projects to modernize applications. As an Engineer 2, Software your main area of responsibility is to develop, enhance and deliver business-critical tools/solutions for our Partners. Developing high complexity code independently within or outside various teams using applicable technology. You will be responsible for problem solving, researching, driving standards, ensuring code performance, contributing to code reviews, and performing unit and integration testing. You will also assist with the analysis and review of software requirements.

Qualifications
Required:
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
- Must reside in the United States (does not include Alaska or Hawaii)
- Must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours.
- 3+ years’ experience with Java development in a professional environment
- 3+ years experience working with Web Services and related technologies (JSON, XML, SOAP, API etc) in a professional environment.
- 2+ years of experience with IDE, Eclipse or IntelliJ
- 2+ years of experience with frameworks such as Spring/Springboot, Hibernate
- 2+ years of experience creating and implementing SQL/JPA or similar Query Languages
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design concepts
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
- Ability to define problems and present solutions along with supporting data to management.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Extremely attentive to detail
- Strong teamwork abilities in a collaborative environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment and have the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
- Must have experience in full lifecycle development and end-to-end testing
- Must have the ability to effectively collaborate and work with others in a remote work environment
- Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible with changing priorities and requirements
- Required to be on a periodic rotation to perform on-call duties

Preferred:
